Elphas Receives a Wheelchair

After several years of inability to walk or move, God finally came through for Elphas Akach. Many thanks to the Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK) and their supporters for facilitating the provision of this equipment for Elphas. Special thanks the co-operative staff at the APDK Nairobi Office, and especially to Mr. O J. Ondiege the APDK National Orthopaedic Technologist for his patience, advice and concern for the needs of the Physically disabled. We believe the boy would be able to resume attending school in 2009.

I officially received the Wheelchair from the APDK staff member on behalf of Elphas.

Mr. O. J. Ondiege assisted in identifying the Wheelchair for Elphas.

He took his time to show us around the APDK Workshop where they make the various equipment for the physically disabled.

We delivered the Wheelchair to Elphas' village home in Koyier, Rongo District.

Elphas' step-mother took time to familiarize herself with the equipment.

We helped Elphas onto the Wheelchair.

Elphas is certainly excited and and grateful to God for the gift of a Wheelchair.

Once more, many thanks to APDK for the services they render to the Physically disabled. We are honoured to have been their partner in making Elphas' dream come true.
To God be all the Glory!
Amen.
